Croydon is a suburb in inner western Sydney, west of Ashfield. Croydon has a village-like atmosphere and much of the commercial areas are located around Croydon railway station. Of particular note is The Strand, which houses a number of quality restaurants and cafes while the older Edwin Street shopping strip features predominantly specialist and professional businesses. Croydon is popular with families due to is many established and reputable schools.
