Redfern is just south of Sydney’s CBD, next to Surry Hills, and is home to a wide mix of cultures, age groups and demograhics, reflected in the variety of eateries and shops along Regent Street. Redfern’s gentrification is well underway, with new chic apartment blocks and gourmet eateries appearing constantly. Nearby Sydney University gives parts of Redfern a youthful presence.
